The Goliath Combat Walker was originally manufactured by LarsCorp Technologies for the Kel-Morian Combine to serve as an Infantry Support Unit. After being observed in use by the Combine, Corporate Saboteurs stole the designs and sold them to certain Confederate interests. Until recently, the Goliath was well known throughout the Koprulu Sector.

Featuring all-terrain maneuverability and a computer-guided heavy weapons system, the Goliath is equally adept at providing both ground level and anti-air support. It is armed with twin 30mm smoothbore Autocannons and Hellfire-AA Scatter Missiles. During the Brood War, UED Scientists upgraded the Hellfire Missiles with Charon Boosters, which increased their effective range.

The use of Goliaths in the infamous Kel-Morian Mining Revolts showed just how effective even a small number of these versatile Combat Walkers can be when engaged in intensive urban warfare.

[edit] StarCraft II Unit

The Goliath does not appear in StarCraft II Multiplayer. It may however be available in the Single Player game and through the Map Editor.
