Warp Prisms and Nighthawks

Fourth in line for a rename, following the Hellion, Void Ray and Vulkan, is the new Protoss transportor - now called the Warp Prism:

| Warp-In is a researched ability that allows Gateways to almost instantly build units anywhere within Pylon power, including mobile Pylon power provided by the Warp Prisms (previously known as the Phase Prism). When units are built from the Gateway through this process, a cooldown will follow after the unit is built, before another can be warped in. When Gateways are converted into Warp Gates, players are no longer able to queue units, but will instead receive an set amount of time discounted from the production time to build that unit. That set amount will be subject to balance. | ||
On that note, the recently renamed Vulkan has been renamed again:

| As another update that you guys will get at BlizzCon, the Vulkans are now updated as the 'Nighthawks' in the BlizzCon build. They have updated art to reflect this as well. Those going to BlizzCon, make note of the cool new movement animations added to several Terran air units. | ||
At least now we now know why the "Warp" prefix was removed from the Void Ray.

I... guess I'll stop trying to remember the units' names until final release. Though as I recall, some units in Wc3 were renamed in a patch, so it might be futile =)

Hell some units stole names. The original Death Knight was renamed and called the Frost Revenant after it was removed from the Undead tech. The Death Knight was originally the anti-paladin, and the shaman’s model was originally for a hero called the spirit walker. My personal disappointment was making the PotM and the Farser ground based.
Blizzard can never stick to a name. I do have to say that Nighthawk sounds rather ominous and would probably be more befitting of the Banshee.

I agree, Nighthawk would better serve an offensive unit (preferably with Cloak, which the Banshee also has) more than a support unit. To be honest, it almost seems a little wasted.

It's been used a lot in the new screenshots, some even with a few Auto-Turrets, and there doesn't look to be any other unit model nearby to have planted them.

**** that's a kick ass model. I wish that was the Viking's design.
