Play StarCraft II In Spain This Weekend
My friend pR0gR4m3R from StarCraft-ESP.com just informed me that Blizzard will be setting up their European demo stations (one would assume it's the WWI ones still being used) of StarCraft II and WoW: Wrath of the Lich King this upcoming weekend! If you happen to be close by Madrid, you might as well give it a shot. 15 min time limit, but you might get a few turns!
pR0gR4m3R didn't have time to translate it properly for me but he did say it's in Madrid, just around the corner from where he works. Here is a Google Translate of his news item:
StarCraft-ESP.com is pleased to announce that during this weekend, under European finals WarCraft3 and WoW, Blizzard Entertainment will bring a series of "demo stations" so that Spaniard fans can enjoy WoW: Wrath of the Lich King, and of our great expectations and desired StarCraft 2.
This event will take place during the Saturday 6th, and Sunday 7th [of September], at the Circulo de Bellas Artes (Calle Alcala, 42), and apparently in the absence of official confirmation, time trial demos will be limited to 15 minutes for so avoid long waits. From here to thank the Blizzard information received, as we hope that the Spanish representative in the finals of WarCraft3, Pedro "LucifroN" Moreno reaches as far as possible
See you there;)

With this much public showings of the game, could it possibly be closer to beta soon?

My friend is in Madrid right now. Too bad she probably isn't interested in SC2 at all =)

Very nice, another playable demo event. Hopefully the developers are getting the feedback they need from all this, although I can't see that 15 minutes will produce a lot of strategies.
